A new music programme is set to begin at CommuniTree…
Our Project -
“Supporting Grassroots Music
& Artist Development in Marginalised Communities”
CommuniTree is delighted to announce a new live music and performance programme in Nottingham city centre between October 2024 and March 2025, to develop our venue as an inclusive Grassroots Music Hub for adults and young participants, performers, practitioners, and audiences living with SEND, Neurodivergence, and who may have experienced bullying and / or trauma.
The project, supported by Arts Council England, When Women Gather, LW Arts CIC, and The National Lottery Community Fund, seeks to provide performance opportunities for musicians, developing audience engagement in the arts and stimulate economic and creative activity in Nottingham. Our vision is to promote community cohesion & cultural understanding – and a creative, vibrant, musical town centre!

We encourage performers across all genres and styles to apply, but we do have a particular focus on folk / world music and female artists. We encourage applications regardless of age group, ethnic or religious background, sexual orientation or disability status. We also encourage young artists (18-25 years) to reach out. We can provide rehearsal and performance space. Contact us for more information on this.

CommuniTree is a community arts hub in Nottingham,, based within the historical building of Clarendon Chambers. We are managed by a core group of diverse and engaged community-based creative practitioners, who all have a passion for supporting current and new generations of artists. We aim to support the development of an exciting and unique music scene in Nottingham.
